Abstract

Education, particularly arts education, is always open to question and change; Thus, this paper intends to: inquire about the possible contributions of adopting a methodology that privileges the contact with art work in the development of literacy in visual arts, reflecting on the habits of observation/exploration of art and habits of artistic creations and exploitations; think on pedagogical aspects and concepts related to art education; and to evaluate the reality of this area curriculum subject at this level of teaching. In short, a contribution that claim to improve the practices of teachers and enable a better match of Arts
Education and Expression in the child formative process. 

Another objective is to provide an educational experience held in the 1st degree of basic education within the Masters in Teaching Visual and Technological Education in Basic Education.
