The cinema, born at the machinery time, demonstrated from a great range of study and experimentation. In Hollywood, it found space to adapt entirely to the technological revolution brought about by digital. In Europe, cinephiles dedicated themselves to dignify cinema as art, giving priority to narrative and aesthetics. At the present, the digital revolution demands an adaptation of cinema, consumed outside the conditions for which it was created. The easy accessibility empowers the large consumption and with the advance of scientific knowledge it becomes possible to prove the neurological effects associated with the experience of watching a movie. The potential of using cinema in educations is confirmed, and in Portugal several projects are born aiming to bring the school closer to the benefits of holistic learning, which integrates the arts in its school curriculum.
