What Teacher Profile for Musical Initiation in Specialized Artistic Teaching?

Abstract

This article reflect on the problem of the absence, by the Ministry of Education, of a profile of the teacher for the course of Musical Initiation, the study goal was concerned about the Musical Education Teacher training for the primary school, according to the professionals involved in the teaching process, the institutions directors and the analysis of the syllabus used for the training of Music Teachers. This article will focus on the perspective of teachers working. The chosen methodology was a qualitative case study and the data selection tools were the focus group, the document analysis and the questionnaire.
The results suggest the necessity to intensify the curricula of 1st and 2nd cycle of studies in the training of the Music Teacher in the areas of the didactic and pedagogical know-how, as well as the need for a musical practice and experience.
