Reflections on Art Education: In Search of Transformation

Abstract

In this paper we reflect on the importance of expanding the focus of the teaching and learning processes in art education. We try to evidence the importance of observation of the classic or contemporary artistic object as a form of motivation and transformation of the perceptions and behaviours of the student. We pay attention to the importance of the approach of artistic making as a form of communication, innovation, knowledge and transformation not only in the universe of art as in the school universe.
