The Reinterpretation of Choreographic Works and the Importance of their Integration in the Dance Teaching

This article aims to clarify and understand the concepts of reconstruction, revival, recreation, version and adaptation, as tools to develop the dance teaching in art schools. Want to promote critical thinking through different forms of reinterpretation of choreographic works and explanation of its importance in the different approaches of dance composition/choreography, repertoire studies’ and contemporary dance technique. There is no attempt, however, to give
any didactic or methodologies that guide teachers and creators, but rather to highlight the differences, similarities and crossing of these concepts within the education for performance practice. Furthermore, also highlight the importance of the cultural heritage of dance through various forms of archive, such as the legacy transmission, ensuring the promotion, experimentation and reflection of the works in the artistic education systems and college.
