Abstract

The project “Analisa, Explora & Cria” (Analyze, Explore & Create”) arises from the discovery of an almost disturbing lack of publications in the area of arts and technological education for teachers, educators, families and children of an age group between 6 and 12 years old. The present proposal is based on a perspective of building a didactic and pedagogical resource, which would assume, at the same time, the approach to the concepts of artistic and technological education on a playful basis. After an initial period in which was established the concept and philosophy of the project, it was developed within a research held in the Research Centre InED, applied to a class of masters and in a workshop for teachers sponsored by APEVT, counting also with its collaboration and participation in this project. The final proposal, embodied in the book “Analisa, Explora & Cria”, brings together a set of suggestions of activities related to artistic education and plastic and technological expressions, which can easily be developed either in the first or second cycle of basic education, or even in academic enrichment activities, thereby constituting a resource that can be explored in different classroom contexts. Throughout the book project, training courses were programmed and are still being streamlined and the aim is to explore
situations that engender new practices that instigate the look and destabilize what is established in order to expand the training of teachers, in the construction of meanings and senses, and contributing to the diversity in teaching and learning process of artistic expression. New approaches in appropriation of artistic languages are presented through a set of educational resources, to be explored in and out of the book. It is also mentioned an extended set of references to artists, their works and
techniques they exploit, seeking to respond to the need of the domain of literacy skills of arts and technologies. In this article we will give a testimony of how the project was developed so far, from its origin to the training of teachers developed up till now and which will culminate in June 2014 with the publication of the book by the “Edicare” publisher.
