Based on a study on contemporary music (20th and 21st centuries) and children’s Music Education, this article presents some results that involved musical approaches/practices and the use of technological resources in the training of art educators. Three musical creation projects using audio recording and computer are presented – creative works carried out by Artistic Education students (a course with a transdisciplinary dimension including music, visual and performing arts), in a Higher Education Institution in Portugal, and guided by the researcher. The methodology used was action research, and in this article will be exposed a small part of the second phase of the study based on practical and exploratory work in the classroom with the students. Established on contemporary musical aesthetic models, we sought to develop feasible methodological approaches to the training of art educators, respecting the premises of electroacoustic music.
