Abstract

Articulating Sculpture and Painting, increasing the creation field, we proposed the creation of interfaces for the body to mediate the action of painting in a performative way, registered trough video.
In this sense, the students from the 3th year of the course of Visual Arts and Technologies from Superior School of Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon — ESELx/ IPL — replied to the work proposal of Painting and Sculpture, conceiving and constructing prosthesis to integrate in the body, allowing different kind of graphic and painting approaches, exploring their essential expression — using materials such as paint, charcoal or media like pencils, brushes and others.
Painting and drawing appear as a performative act, registered and communicated through video.
